Marlo Ortiz, CP (M), creator of the new and revolutionary MAS socket design, has introduced this innovative prosthetic technology to the prosthetic profession. Marlo has spoken at many different venues and received numerous awards including the Ted Tranhardt award and more recently he received the Clinical Creativity Award from the American Academy of Orthotists and Prosthetists (AAOP) for his work with transfemoral socket design.

Marlo currently practices in Guadalajara, Mexico where he has successfully fit hundreds of transfemoral patients with his socket design.

More recently he has teamed up with the Orthotic & Prosthetic Group of America to bring the technology to the profession through a series of educational seminars held throughout the United States. These seminars have resulted in nearly 1,000 clinicians being trained in the socket design.
